Summary

You will be the operational engine behind the Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) team during the lead-up to and delivery of the inaugural Singapore Design Biennale. Working hands-on across a busy campaign period, you will keep the many moving parts of an integrated marketing and communications campaign running on time and to standard, coordinating partners, assets, vendors and community activity so that the Biennale reaches audiences at home and abroad.

This is a one-year contract suited to someone early in their career who is eager to learn fast, roll up their sleeves and make their mark on a landmark event for Singapore design. You will support senior members of the BMC team, taking ownership of the day-to-day coordination that turns campaign plans into on-the-ground reality.

About the Brand, Marketing & Communications Division 

To develop Singapore into a thriving innovation-driven economy and loveable city by design, the Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) division raises the level of design appreciation on home ground by amplifying Dsg’s initiatives, publicising Singapore design and designers, and advocating the impact and value of design. The division also advances the Singapore Design Brand internationally, elevating Singapore’s reputation as a leading UNESCO Creative City of Design and a thought leader for Global-Asian design excellence. 

Responsibilities

Campaign Operations Support

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to the BMC team across the Biennale campaign, keeping timelines, task lists and asset trackers up to date so that deliverables land on schedule.
  • Coordinate across multiple workstreams at once, chasing details, following up with stakeholders and pre-empting bottlenecks before they affect delivery.
  • Maintain organised records of campaign assets, approvals and vendor documentation to support smooth handovers and reporting. 

Partner & Event Coordination

  • Collate event details, programme information and imagery from Biennale partners and participating designers, ensuring content is accurate, complete and delivered in time for use.
  • Source, organise and route photos, videos and other assets for the website, press releases and social media, coordinating approvals and usage rights where needed.
  • Serve as a reliable point of coordination between the Outreach & Engagement team and the BMC team, keeping information flowing and follow-ups closed out.

Marketing Collateral & Out-of-Home (OOH) Execution

  • Coordinate the adaptation, production and installation of out-of-home assets, including lamp post banners, street banners and other OOH placements, working with designers, vendors and relevant authorities and landlords.
  • Track artwork versions, sizing specifications and installation schedules to ensure assets go up correctly and on time.
  • Support the production and quality checking of campaign collateral across print and digital formats. 

Merchandise, Contests & Community Engagement

  • Coordinate merchandise production end to end, from liaising with vendors on samples and timelines to tracking delivery and stock.
  • Support the running of contests and giveaways, including logistics, prize fulfilment and participant communications.
  • Liaise with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and content creators, coordinating briefs, deliverables and schedules to support campaign reach. 

Division Operations

  • Contribute to the day-to-day operation of the BMC division through rostered operational duties, procurement support, community management and other shared responsibilities as assigned.
  • Maintain operational documentation and support reporting so the team has a clear view of campaign progress and outcomes.

Requirements 

  • Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of working experience in integrated communications and marketing, with experience in media relations, PR campaigns and multi-channel marketing within the public sector, cultural or creative industries. Demonstrated ability to manage agencies and deliver KPIs for both earned and paid media. 
  • Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience and a strong appetite to learn are welcome to apply.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Events, Design or a related field.
  • Comfort working across many tasks and stakeholders at once in a fast-moving campaign environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines without dropping the ball.
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable coordinating with partners, vendors and creators.
  • Proactive and resourceful, willing to chase details and solve problems as they come up.
  • Familiar with social media platforms and everyday productivity and collaboration tools; a basic eye for design and content is an advantage.
  • A collaborative team player who takes ownership of tasks and follows through.
